Went out to Cape Point on Saturday

Located south of Cape Town, Cape Point is where the Cape of Good Hope is located. It is almost the Southern most point on the African continent. It’s also where the Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean meet, at least in theory.

The day began with a random boat cruise to check out Seal Island, just outside of Hout Bay.

It was basically this small rock covered from end to end with huge, smelly seals. Kinda cool. Mostly just stinky.

Then we ate a classy lunch with a classy view

Then strolled over to Boulders Beach which plays home to a large penguin colony.

Then we drove down the Cape of Good Hope for some good views and a little hiking.

I bet you Sarah Palin has seen Antartica from here.

Then got to see a pretty stunning sunset.

A pretty awesome day overall. Capped it off with a R19 trip to the movie theather to see the Angels & Demons movie. Kinda poorly made in parts, but fairly entertaining overall. Made me feel a little more in touch with American culture though.
