Last Saturday we headed into Cape Town to climb Table Mounatin.

As is evident in the above photo, Table Mountain is this enormous, flat-topped mountain that shadows Cape Town. Also, I didn’t take this picture. Winter is setting in here, more to come on that.

The hike up was grueling. Lots of steps up and over enormous boulders. It was like doing thousands of squats and lunges. Great for muscle tone, bad for pit stains.

After 1.5 hours, we made our glorious arrival at the summit.

There is actually a huge trail system on the top of the mountain. We only had time to do a tiny portion of it. I want to go back for a day and do more hiking up there.

and the Cape Flats and surrounding mountains to the West
